My name is Takara! I am a DNA'd female Harlequin Macaw. I am going to be 5 years old in April. I am very active and playful. I love hanging upside down and playing with my toys. Among my favorites are toys with large wooden blocks. I will hang out with my friend Akira on a stand and preen each other. I love taking a shower on my person's shoulder. I will step to anyone when I am in the right mood. Because I am a Macaw I can get loud and wil l not do well in an apartment.

Adoptions are not 'first come, first served'; we strive to find the most appropriate home for each parrot. We do not ship parrots and generally adopt only within a 200-mile radius of Fargo, ND. 

A pre-adoption, home visit by a member of our Adoption Committee is required for every adoption.  

We charge an Adoption Fee for each adoptable parrot.  Adoption Fees are based on the discretion of the Board of Directors.
