Chico is a Blue-Fronted Amazon. He really prefers men and loves getting his head scritched.   He needs some work, but will step up onto a stick and then onto your hand.

UPDATE: 8/25/2016

He's molting right now and looks a bit ruffled, he won't let me preen him  he is such a cool bird, he hasn't been locked in a cage for a long time now. He's ok when I put him in to leave for the store. He sleeps on top of his cage at night. Starts chatting quietly in the morning sunshine that hits the cage. He doesn't get into anything, he's really a great bird. He is not a cuddle bug and doesn't want to be touched or grabbed at and he thinks that is what your going to do each time you raise your fingers towards him. He and I progressed to taking food from my fingers, preening my hair, letting me rub his cheek with 1 finger lol and because he does not lunge at faces, he will come and give me a kiss a few times a week and then whistles. He dances and enjoys sweet talk.

Adoptions are not 'first come, first served'; we strive to find the most appropriate home for each parrot.    We do not ship parrots and generally adopt only within a 200-mile radius of Fargo, ND.

We charge an Adoption Fee for each adoptable parrot.  Adoption Fees are based on the discretion of the Board of Directors.
